Foreword by Michael Staley
Echoes from the Primal Grimoire reveals the interconnectedness of intrusions from ‘Outside’ against the backdrop of Grant’s substantial interest in New England fantasy author H.P. Lovecraft.
The text chronicles key aspects of the work of both men, revealing the resonances between them and their impact within the wider context of the Typhonian Tradition, one that comprises of “many component parts interwoven within the strands of art, science and magic”.
Ward suggests that Quantum Science appears to substantiate much of Grant’s magical philosophy, and goes on to reveal some startling potential answers to the nature of the intrusions and the origin and evolution of their primal archetypes within the Typhonian Tradition.
As Grant had revealed in his writings, the key to communion with such intrusions is found within the realm of magical dreaming, and results in an ever present continuum of consciousness forming the Typhonian Current. The records of this current consist of what Grant referred to as the Primal Grimoire – texts received by him, Crowley and others from ‘Outside’ which he saw as reflecting themes within the most famous fictional grimoire of all time, Lovecraft’s Necronomicon.
