Description from the Publisher:

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa’s ‘Three Books of Occult Philosophy’ has exerted a fascination for centuries. Our new translation from the Latin of the 1533 edition aims to make this foundational work accessible to a new, wider audience. We will be publishing the text in three volumes, along with a fourth containing the apocryphal ‘Fourth Book’, and other magical texts by, or attributed to, Agrippa.

Volume One: is Agrippa’s treatise on ‘Natural Magic’, and describes how the elemental world we inhabit relates to the archetypal realm, and the wonderful ways that contact manifests in the natural world, and within ourselves. It is also an account of how we cannot know the world by reason alone, but by experience and experimentation in a spirit of wonder. For Agrippa, the scientific and the magical have yet to part ways.

Volume Two: Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa’s ‘Three Books of Occult Philosophy’ has exerted a fascination for centuries. Our new translation from the Latin of the 1533 edition aims to make this foundational work accessible to a new, wider audience. We will be publishing the text in three volumes, along with a fourth containing the apocryphal ‘Fourth Book’, and other magical texts by, or attributed to, Agrippa.

Volume Three: Theirs is a spiritual body, but a tangible one, such that it may be cut; the wound will close like air or water, but they will still experience pain, and so fear the edge of any sword or bladed weapon. Virgil has his Sibyl warn Aeneus: Do thou go on thy way and draw thy sword.

In the Third Book of Occult Philosophy, Agrippa arrives at the topic of Ceremonial Magic, and our relationship with the invisible world. In particular, it is here Agrippa expands on the Kabbalah and the idea of union with the personal genius.

Volume Four: Then rise to your feet and turn around your circle, from east to west, until your head spins and you fall to the ground and be still; like that, you will be enraptured, and the spirit you seek will appear and tell you all you want to know.

Volume Four of our Agrippa collection comprises new translations of two texts closely related to the Three Books of Occult Philosophy.

The first is the 1565 Liber Quartus de Occulta Philosophia, which is a Pseudo-Agrippan gloss on some of Agrippa’s themes, which was published with a version of Pietro D’Abano’s Heptameron, which served as a gloss upon the gloss. This apocryphal work went on to lead an interesting and influential afterlife, accompanying the Three Books like an ugly rumour.
