Description

Codex Ad Limina marks a further expansion of themes addressed in Volume 2 of Book of the Black Dragon. In this volume the author delves into the role the Black Bull has as a totem for the sinistral horn daemon emissary. His role as an afflicted form in shadow brings the sorcerer to the point of his/her initiation into the Olde Companie of Cunning Folke. Not only does the Codex interpret the language being used for substantiating the relationship between the sorcerer and the Black Bull, but it follows this by guiding the reader through relevant ritual workings that prepare the practitioner for his/her eventual immersion.

A continuation of the Book of the Black Dragon series, where Peter Hamilton Giles continues to build upon the legendary Dragon Book of Essex by the esteemed Andrew Chumbly with various direct references throughout the entire series so far. While the Codex Ad Limina continues this extremely in depth compounding and insight into Chumblys work, this is also where we begin to see more parts of divergence within the 17 telesmatic stanzas that are in particular of discourse and interpretation.

And as usual, all illustrations are absolutely stunning and each somehow seems to be a perfect fit, thus tying more and more pieces of this work together in a seamless way.
